Flávia P. Tirelli, PhD
Small Wild Cat Conservation Foundation Postdoctoral Researcher
Flávia Pereira Tirelli has a Ph.D. in Zoology from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul and also participated in University of Oxford's WildCRU. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. Flavia is interested in carnivore ecology and conservation, especially small wild cats. She has been studying the small wild cats of the Americas since 2006. She is coordinator for the Geoffroy’s Cat Working Group, a global network of conservationist practitioners, researchers, and enthusiasts who are committed to preserve this small and little-known cat. She is also a research fellow of the Pro-Carnívoros Institute and a member of the Technical Advisory Group for the National Conservation Action Plan on small wildcats in Brazil.
